Happy Friday!
Welcome to All of my new subscribers and followers. I hope you all had a fantastic week wherever you are in the world and have a fun weekend planned. Today I am sharing 10 nostalgic hacks that I have used myself when I am in a bind and also picked up along the way. Let’s face it, not everyone can purchase high end beauty products or purchase the latest and greatest when it comes to skincare either. So why not get the same results by using the most practical items you have on hand and were used back in the day. Win-Win right? So without further adieu here we go…..

Fast Hair Drying Method
To quickly dry long hair, use an old T-shirt. The cotton material is less harsh on the hair and allows the hair to retain some of the moisture from your bath or shower while still allowing you to dry it. Best of all, this hair-drying method can prevent frizzy hair.
Freshening Facial Spray
Facial sprays or mists are a simple way of keeping the skin of your face refreshed and hydrated while also giving you a calm and rejuvenated feeling and complexion. Sprays for the face are particularly useful and refreshing in hot summer months when a lot of heat and sweat builds up in the head and face. Learn how to make and use your own homemade facial mists from some simple ingredients
Cucumber Aloe Spray
- 1 small cucumber
- 1 tsp aloe vera
- Distilled or purified water
Tame Unruly Eyebrows

Sometimes your eyebrows have a mind of their own. If your eyebrows become unruly while you are on the go, apply some lip balm to keep them in place. When applying the lip balm, use a spoolie brush to ensure that the lip balm is worked properly through the brow.
Strawberries to Whiten Teeth
Strawberries are naturally acidic, which makes them great at whitening teeth. Just use caution: Natural teeth whitening treatments can be hard on your teeth. If you feel sensitivity, stop and consider speaking to a dentist. To whiten your teeth, mix 1 teaspoon of grated strawberries with 1 teaspoon of baking soda, then use it as a substitute for your toothpaste about twice a month.

DIY Activated Charcoal Mask
Yes, you can make your own activated charcoal mask. Mix 2 tablespoons of activated charcoal with 1.5 tablespoons of agar powder. Dissolve them in hot water until the solution turns jelly-like. Then apply to your face for about 30 minutes.
DIY Fake Long Nails
If you have short nails but prefer the long look of a French manicure, then this hack is for you. To create the illusion of longer nails, paint the nail tip wider than it actually is by painting over part of the nail bed. This makes it seem like the nail is longer.

Soften Your Heels

If you walk around a lot, you are likely to have calloused feet. Soak your feet to soften them. Mix together 2 cups warm water, 1 cup vinegar, and 1/2 cup baking soda. Soak your feet for about 20 minutes, and then dry with a towel and rehydrate.
Foot Odor Hack
Use dry shampoo to cut down on smelly foot odor. To use this hack, spray the bottom of your foot with the dry shampoo before putting on your footwear. The shampoo should absorb any oils or sweat generated by your feet, keeping down the stinky smell.
Talcum Powder Eyelash Hack

Long, beautiful lashes are usually the envy of many women. Now you can have them too, even if your eyelashes are not very long. To create longer eyelashes, apply talcum powder to your lashes with a brush. Follow this up with mascara.
Sugar Scrub for Leg Hair
Sugar makes a great natural exfoliant and doesn’t irritate the skin like a waxing treatment does. Mix 1/4 cup lemon juice, 2 cups sugar, and 1/4 cup water into a bowl. Heat it over low heat until it all melts together; it should look golden. Let it cool, and apply it to the skin. Then sharply remove and rinse.
Thanks so much for stopping by my beauty blog for these beauty hacks for nostalgia sake and of course if you don’t have the time, I sprinkled in some links so you can just purchase a product similar to the DIY beauty hack on your own. In the end the choice is yours, but have fun and experiment a little. We all know these products started from someone’s kitchen right? Until next time, have a wonderful rest of the week and a fabulous weekend.
