Excessively Oily Skin (prone to breakouts)
This is a simple recipe for a face mask to treat oily skin. If you use this diligently a couple of times a week you will soon see a big difference as this mask deep cleans your pores, removing dirt and a buildup of dead skin and impurities. This all helps to prevent your skin from breaking out in the future.
You need the following:
1 ripe banana
� cup of finely ground oatmeal
1 tbsp of honey
a few drops of lemon juice
Mix all the ingredients together into a paste and apply to clean skin. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse with water or clean with a steamy warm face cloth.
Blackheads
Blackheads can be a very annoying skin problem. Try the following recipe for a face mask to help you get rid of them:
Ingredients:
1 egg white
Lemon juice
Just beat these two ingredients together till the egg whites are foamy. Spread it onto a clean face and leave for up to 15 minutes. Wash off.
Uneven skin or pigmentation
Whether this is due to hormones or the sun, uneven skin tone is a common problem. Try the following facemask to try and even out your complexion:
You need:
1 ripe tomato
2 tbsp of natural yogurt
2 tbsp of finely ground oatmeal
lemon juice
Remove the seeds from the tomato and blend in a blender with the yogurt, oatmeal and lemon juice Spread this on a clean face and wait 15 minutes before rinsing it off.
Dry, flaky skin
Dry skin affects many people, especially during the cold winter months. Try this mask to protect your skin and help to ease dryness (also great for mature skin):
You need:
� ripe Avocado
4 – 5 drops of Olive Oil
1 teaspoon of Honey
Mash the avocado and add the honey and olive oil. Dab it onto a clean face and wash off after half an hour.
Dull Skin
Exfoliating is the key to getting your skin glowing again. Try this great Indian face mask recipe:
What you need:
� cup of plain yogurt
� tbsp of Turmeric
� cup of finely ground oatmeal
Mix together till you have a nice paste and apply to a clean face using circular motions. Rinse off after 20 minutes to reveal glowing skin!
