Newsletter Highlights Vol.2 Issue 30 7-25-22
Hello!
First of all, I would like to welcome all of my new subscribers and appreciate those subscribers that have been here from the very beginning.
Happy Monday!
How was your weekend?
Today we are burning up, it is presently 86 degrees in the PNW, and we are all inside where the AC is turned up full blast, LOL! I have been totally relaxing and taking each day as a gift because tomorrow is not always promised. You have to embrace the good with the bad. Today is also a birthday for my youngest, who is in his midteens as of today and we are all making pizza, BBQ wings and more. A little bit of activities outside and inside. Most of all just thankful for another day. 😉
Welcome to another issue of Beauty Shop N More news. I hope that you enjoy all that I offer in my newsletter and keep coming back for more.

How did you take care of you this weekend?
The world has been crazy these days, so it is important to take a moment to keep yourself emotionally, mentally and physically strong. I hope that this newsletter inspires you to be your best self and encourages you to take each day one at a time. Until next time take care of yourself.

How to Keep Your Feet on Their Toes in the Summer

Just as you are conscientious about keeping your skin from burning and staying hydrated, it is important not to neglect your feet. Your feet take a beating in the summertime. Your feet are cooped up in shoes all day without much chance to breathe. Alternatively, you may spend a lot of down time in your flip flops and feet can be worn down and rough from all the flipping and flopping around. 😉
Healthy Feet Mean a Happy Body
There are many ways to keep your feet healthy. Remember, your feet are what carry you throughout your day and your life and we all need to be kind to them.
- Natural foot scrub – Take a 1/8 of teaspoon of lavender mixed with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 cup of kosher salt. Mix together well. You can add more olive oil if needed. Place the scrub all over your feet, especially concentrating on the heels. Rub thoroughly for several minutes, rinsing with warm water.
- Sugary sweet foot scrub – Take ¼ cup of sugar, 15 drops of eucalyptus oil, ¼ cup of almond oil, and some of your favorite moisturizer if desired. Mix together well and spread all over the feet. Do not forget in between the toes and concentrate on the heels that take the most beating. Rinse thoroughly in a foot soak first and in the shower or tub thereafter.
- Foot smoothie – Mix oatmeal, olive oil, baking soda, and water together to form a paste that will give your wounded warriors a lot of moisture. Just spread the paste all over your feet, rinse well and pat dry. Put moisturizer and cotton socks on overnight and your feet will feel soft and smooth in the morning.
Soak Your Tootsies
Sometimes you may not be in the mood or have the time to do an all-out foot scrub, so soaking your tired tootsies is good enough.

- Add ½ cup of baking soda and ½ cup of Epsom salts to a basin of very warm water. Soak your feet for as long as you like. You will notice that your feet will be rejuvenated and refreshed instantly.
- A combination of milk, warm water, and a little baby oil is perfect for soothing and moisturizing your feet.
- Eucalyptus oil, warm water, and baking soda also make a relaxing yet invigorating foot scrub.

Keeping your feet happy and healthy is an essential form of skin care during the summer. The term pounding the pavement really does apply in the heat of the summer as sand, walking barefoot and the repetitive motion of flip flops and sandals take its toll on the skin of the feet.
Keeping the skin on your feet happy and healthy keeps that peppy bounce in your step all throughout the hazy days of summer.

My Review: ” I purchased this spray two weeks ago and used it during one of those scorching days, about 90 degrees or so [may use today as well] 😉. It definitely helped cool my skin down and calm the itch. The smell is a clean and very soothing, especially in hot weather or maybe even in winter (early fall) when the weather starts to get dry and cold as well. It makes your skin feel really calm and moisturized. It absorbs into your skin quickly and dries well. Plus, the consistency is very light depending on how much your skin needs, as well as when you apply it (Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer). You may need a little or a lot. Great Buy!”~Purchased 7/12/22
