Newsletter Highlights Vol.2 Issue 33 8-16-22

First of all, I would like to welcome all of my new subscribers and appreciate those subscribers that have been here from the very beginning.

How was your weekend?
Today we are just a few weeks away from starting school once again for this year. The weather is still a bit warm but starting to s-l-o-w-l-y cool down here in the PNW. Right now, we are looking at a sunny 77 degrees still under a heat advisory warning until Thursday. It hasn’t been too bad but for those who are in the direct sunlight for their jobs, it can pose a very dangerous health risk. Hopefully the heat warning will not be here very much longer. Are you ready for school? Maybe you are an empty nester, what are your plans for this year now that your kids are out of the house? Whatever is on your agenda for this new school year (for some) I wish you nothing but the best that life has to offer. The world seems so varied these days with all that life has bombarded us with, but we are of course taking it one day at a time.
I still have not figured out what I would like to do for my upcoming birthday but am working on it. Sometimes when you are thinking so hard about your special day and what to do for it, it can sometimes overwhelm you and then you can’t make a decision at all, LOL! This is where I am at right now on this, but I know eventually I will have my answer.
Creating memories, whatever or wherever they may be is what makes life interesting and fun. Either way, I hope that you are making the most of your summer (at least what’s left of it) or maybe you are starting your summer, depending on where you are located. Cherish every moment and make it count because you will probably not have that moment again. Make it a good one ;-).

SOOTHING MASK FOR DRY SENSITIVE SKIN
Whether you are prone to dry skin, or you just have a case of
winter dryness, your face will appreciate this recipe.
Ingredients:
• 1 Ripe Avocado
• 1 Egg Yolk (reserve the white*)
• 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
• 1 Tbsp Milk
Mash the avocado with a fork and stir in the egg yolk, olive oil
and milk. The mixture will be messy, and you will need to apply it slowly on your face.
You may need to stay in the bathroom for a few minutes before it starts to
dry because it may feel like it’s going to slip off. But be patient it’s worth it.
Allow to dry as long as you can and rinse well.
*NOTE: With the egg white, for an added treat and tightening
treatment, dab a little around the eyes before you apply the
avocado mask.

My Review: ” I purchased this lip gloss and lip liner set about a week and a half ago. I was looking for a more natural look for my lip gloss, but also wanted the staying power of a lipstick and came across these beauties. I love that they have a lip liner for all of the lip glosses, and I even use the lip liners for lip glosses I already have, and it feels really good on my lips. The color lasts, but not all day and is pretty easy to wash off at the end of the day. When you first apply the lip gloss and lip liner it stays for a few hours, but I think it depends on your ph balance as well. I drink lots of water and coffee throughout my day and this, IMO, may factor in to how long the lip gloss/ lip liner duo will last.
